Negative Spaces and Foreshortening

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!

We're squeezed in between the holidays and New Years, and I am taking a little break to get settled in my new home and studio - so today I am sharing a video from the archives - one that I referred to in last week's video. It's about capturing proportions and perspective by using negative spaces. It's amazingly effective.

Your assignment for this week: Find something to draw that has a lot of negative spaces - or a foreshortened subject that you can us e your negative spaces for, to capture it.
