Hi there, I’m Koosje!

pronounced "Kōsha”

I’m an artist and creative entrepreneur living in the Netherlands. I love drawing and I do it every day. On this website, I hope to inspire you to develop a drawing practice too, because it can make you feel good.

DRAW ALONG with me

DRAW ALONG with me

Have you ever visited They-Draw.com?

For many years now, it’s one of my favorite websites. THEY DRAW is a creative playground for illustration. It features the work of artists, illustrators, doodlers, and drawers from around the world. It was founded in 2010, and nearly 7,000 people have submitted illustrations to THEY DRAW. Over the years, many illustrators have used this platform to develop their creative skills and have built amazing portfolios of illustration.

They Draw started out as two websites: They Draw And Cook, for illustrated recipes, and They Draw And Travel, for illustrated maps. Now, it’s all one awesome and inspiring website with illustration around food, maps and garden. I’ve submitted more than 60 illustrations over the years, mostly recipes. I absolutely love They Draw and their founders, Nate and Salli.

The founding principle of THEY DRAW is to showcase the work of illustrators worldwide. Over the years, Nate and Salli have also grown quite the community. The Illustrator’s circle is a creative playground where illustration lovers are drawn together to exercise their imaginations and inspire their innovations. Every month, there’s a DRAW ALONG zoom session. They are an absolute treat. Nate and Salli start conversations with the featured illustrator of that session, who will give an assignment, to draw along. It’ll give your creativity a boost. The vibe is so inviting, and there’s room for everyone to chime in.

And now, I am honored to be invited for a Draw Along - not as a guest but as an artist. We’re kicking off the new year, drawing together, and chatting about creativity, plans and resolutions, and more.

Are you joining me on Wednesday, January 4?
Time: 11:30am (NYC time)

I’d love to see you there!
