Hi there, I’m Koosje!

pronounced "Kōsha”

I’m an artist and creative entrepreneur living in the Netherlands. I love drawing and I do it every day. On this website, I hope to inspire you to develop a drawing practice too, because it can make you feel good.

I love how the sketchbook practice always brings surprises.
I stopped by the coffee bar at the corner for an afternoon americano and a drawing. After one sip of coffee and just a few strokes with my Pentel Pocket brushpen, I noticed it had ran out of ink. I always keep an extra cartridge of ink in my pencil case but I decided against replacing it just yet. The effect of the dry brush gave so much joy! I used it to add light shading, and an “out of focus” effect in the background.

These things. They are like little presents in my sketchbook!

Materials used:
-Hahnemühle Nostalgie sketchbook, size A4, landscape
-Pentel pocket brush pen (with the ink cartridge that comes with it)
