Treat Yourself by Drawing In a Café
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
Today, treat yourself.
I love going for a walk, then order a good cup of coffee in a cafe, and: sketch. If you can create these little moments that are real treats for you, then you are allowing yourself to recharge, in a meditative and active way - then go on with the rest of your day. You will feel so much better and different!
I have taken a photo every two minutes of my process while drawing at a cafe today; that way you can see how I move my way through a drawing, how I make color choices and keep my palette limited too.
If you are in a public place, like a cafe, there are always people around. So let's not ignore them! Include them in your drawings, even if you think you can't. Your pages will become livelier, AND you're building your people-drawing skills with each page. And if you'd like a little push towards drawing people with more confidence, then join my Live Online Workshops "Let's Draw People - Level 1" and Let's Draw People - Level 2" in March!
Tickets are now available. Last time I offered these workshops, they were sold out quickly, so be quick - you're still in time for the early bird price!
