Hi there, I’m Koosje!

pronounced "Kōsha”

I’m an artist and creative entrepreneur living in the Netherlands. I love drawing and I do it every day. On this website, I hope to inspire you to develop a drawing practice too, because it can make you feel good.

Sketchbook Tour | Greece Adventures Part 1

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!

In October, I got back from an unforgettable 12-day workshop in Greece, organized by The Blue Walk. What a trip!

I filled not one, but two sketchbooks, and I’m excited to share them with you. Today, I'm flipping through the first one, an A4-sized Hahnemühle Nostalgie sketchbook, and taking you through each page.

This sketchbook was my go-to for demos during the workshop. The size made it easy to show drawing approaches and do demonstration drawings. You’ll see drawings I did with the group, quick people studies, collages, and lots of little travel moments that capture the feel of Greece.
The last few pages were filled back home, drawing daily things that caught my eye.

Oh, and if you're wondering about the stickers on the cover of this sketchbook: one of them seems out of place! I got the Arizona sticker from someone in the workshop group, so I stuck it on my sketchbook right away.

Need an assignment?

Your assignment this week is inspired on one of the pages in my sketchbook in which the vibe was well captured.

Create a page with five small frames and capture quick snapshots of your day in each.
It’s a great way to build a mini-story of your own in your sketchbook! Whether you’re sketching a coffee break, a sunset, or a busy moment, let your day unfold through drawing.

Let the process surprise you, and embrace the fun of drawing!

If you’re interested in joining me for a travel workshop, click here to find details on next year’s trips to Orvieto (Italy), Lisbon (Portugal), Costa Brava (Spain), and beyond.
And if traveling isn’t available for you, I’d love to have you in one of my online mini workshops
