My Book Is Out!

My book, “Life is better when you draw it,” is out!
I can hardly believe that I am writing this. Finally!

After the creation of the book, which was a big and long process, the publishing part of the book process is the least fun. The print-on-demand service (a British company called BookVault), that I chose for self-publishing my book, has a system for publishing. After the last proof, I tweaked a few more things, uploaded my final book document and went through the process of setting the title up for retail. That retail set-up part was complicated and a bit nerve-wrecking. But eventually, I was able to take all the hurdles, one by one, and I figured it all out.

Once I hit the button "publish", within 24 hours the title was to be published to The Great British Bookshop first. It is then also sent to all the connected retailers for distribution worldwide. Don't ask me why, but it can take 2-6(!) weeks until the book shows up on these online retailers, like Amazon (see image).

Like everything else in the past two years of this book process, there have been many surprises and unknowns.
This last part of self-publishing is out of my hands and I'll just have to wait. And of course I will update the book page on my website and send you links as soon as the book is available on those other retailers.
