Hi there, I’m Koosje!

pronounced "Kōsha”

I’m an artist and creative entrepreneur living in the Netherlands. I love drawing and I do it every day. On this website, I hope to inspire you to develop a drawing practice too, because it can make you feel good.

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!

In today’s episode I'll flip through my December 2024 A5 Hahnemühle Nostalgie sketchbook, filled with experiments, continuous line drawings, portraits, and more. In this sketchbook I've been playing with limited color palettes to using tools I hadn’t touched in a while.

Whether drawing at breakfast, with friends, or at a café, I hope this video encourages you to make drawing a part of your daily routine. Don't worry about the outcome—just enjoy the process and embrace the messiness!

Your assignment this week:

Choose a tool you haven’t used in a while and experiment with it to see if it fits your current style or sparks something new. Why has it been gathering dust? Maybe it’s not for you anymore, or perhaps you’ll rediscover its potential now that your skills have grown. Don’t worry about making a mess; just have fun, let go of the outcome, and enjoy the process!
