Sketchbook Tour: Surprises, Sketching Adventures & Creative Momentum
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
Every sketchbook tells a story.
This one is filled with unexpected moments, creative experiments, and plenty of drawing adventures. In this video, I’m flipping through my latest Hahnemühle Nostalgie sketchbook, sharing the pages, projects, and experiences that kept me inspired.
I love how a sketchbook can always surprise and challenge you. For example, I had pasted random collage pieces into a spread without a plan, using it for a drawing that turned out looking intentionally (while it really wasn't!).
Creative exploration and play
I also experimented with ink and wash, played with limited color palettes, and kept my creativity going through online drawing sessions with friends. I prepared for my upcoming Italy workshop, and I even traveled virtually to Lisbon, leading last month's online session of Street View World Tour (watch that session here).
And of course, there were plenty of café drawings, urban sketching moments, and even a wonderful day of drawing with my dad at the Railway museum.

Want to draw with me?
Join my mini-workshop, or come sketch in Lisbon in April or Italy in May.
Feeling inspired?
Here’s a little challenge for you: go on a small sketching adventure. Head to a café and draw, swap materials with a friend, or start a simple project; something fun and doable.
Let go of expectations and just enjoy the process.
