My Latest Sketchbook Flipthrough
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
I just uploaded a new video on my YouTube channel: a full tour of a sketchbook I filled in September, capturing a mix of everyday moments, drawings from online sessions, and urban sketches on location.
Treasures and "meh"
It’s always fun to look back through a filled sketchbook, with some pieces turning into little treasures and others being a bit more "meh". And that’s totally okay!
One thing I love about keeping a sketchbook is how it captures the flow of life and practice, with its mix of experiments, personal moments, and creative challenges. It’s not about making every page perfect; it’s about embracing the process and learning to observe the world around you.
Your assignment this week
If you want a fun assignment: try stepping out of your sketchbook this week. Grab a loose piece of paper or an index card and do a quick drawing. Then, send it to someone you care about.
It’s a great way to practice not being too precious about your work and a lovely way to say hello to someone, with art!
I hope this week's video inspires you to keep filling your own pages and enjoying the process of drawing every day.
Sketchbook shown in this video:
