How To Draw People Who Move
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
I am away in August, but I selected a bunch of videos from the archive this month.
I often get questions about drawing people who move. That's why I am pulling this video from the archives for you this week.
When you try to add passers by in your drawing, they are already gone before you hardly even started. To draw people on the move, you need to be practice a lot. And with practicing pages, the drawings aren't necessarily great, but you are discovering ways to solve creative problems. There is no shortcut to drawing people - the only answer is: do it a lot. But I do have a few tips for you in today's video.
With today's exercise, you get to draw while hanging out by the beach. How cool is that?
Materials used:
- Stillman&Birn Beta series Sketchbook, 19cmx19cm / 7.5”x7.5”
-Sailor fountain pen with calligraphy nib, filled with Platinum Carbon Black ink
-Daniel Smith watercolors
-Pentel Aquash waterbrush
Resource video I used for reference from "Beaches Be Trippin". This is their playlist of boardwalk webcam videos:
