Drawing on a Watercolor Background
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
Today we are painting a watercolor wash, to draw on top of, once it's dried.
Making a watercolor background can help to get over the fear of the blank page. You can do a bunch of washes on random pages in your sketchbook, to surprise or challenge yourself.
I'll be doing a wash using a flat brush, but you can use any kind of brush, as long as it's not too small, so you can cover a lot of ground.
Then I'll draw on top of it, and talk you through the drawing process.
In today's video, I mention"Paris Sketchbook" - a workshop week of fun, adventure, and learning. We’ll gather with a group of creative explorers this fall in Paris for the trip of a lifetime.
If you'd like to join me, all the information is here: https://www.originalimpulse.com/paris-sketchbook/
