If you like my Draw Tip Tuesday videos, you might like to hang out and draw with me live.
What
We'll meet on Zoom to draw together. I will prepare instruction and an assignment for us all to work at during the hour.
We'll talk about the creative process, about art supplies, but also about random stuff that will come up. Together we'll be celebrating creativity!
Since we're all in different time zones, this could be your creative coffee break, lunch, or evening session. Bring your own drinks and snacks if you like, but most important: your sketchbook and art supplies.
You'll also get the recording of the session in case you miss the live session or if you'd like to watch it again in your own time.

Why
Capture the wonders of Lisbon in your sketchbook. We’ll walk the hills and streets of Lisbon, pausing to savor and practice new writing and drawing skills in our pages. Join two seasoned sketchbook teachers, Koosje Koene and Cynthia Morris to wow it up in one of Europe’s most creative cities.
What
One of the most colorful cities in the world, Lisbon is the perfect place to learn how to keep a visual journal of your experiences.
Cynthia and I will lead you to some of our favorite creative spots in Lisbon. Parks, miradours, outdoor markets and more will serve as our classroom and inspiration.
Learn how to: choose how to capture panoramic views, quickly jot down stories, poems and ideas you’ll be able to access later, depict people and scenes even if you can’t draw people, capture the style of a street scene.
At the end of the week, you’ll have a sketchbook full of color, line, and story. Your sketchbook will be an inimitable artifact of a week spent as an artist in Lisbon.

Why
People are all around us, so when you include them in your drawings, you are adding life to your sketchbook, and you are telling a stronger story, as the viewer can relate even more to what they see. You might hesitate to add the people that you see when drawing a scene in your sketchbook–they move so fast! When you try to add passers by in your drawing, they are already gone before you hardly even started. I will help you tackle that problem and overcome the ‘fear’ of drawing people.
What
This is not your regular, classic (and to be honest: boring) portrait workshop. We’re not going to study skulls or learn everything about anatomy. Nor will this week have anything to do with life naked model drawing. This is about pushing boundaries, so that you can feel free and creative when working in your sketchbook, and more confident about your skills.
I will guide you with fun exercises, and help you to pluck the courage to draw people on the move, and on location. We’ll have portrait parties, we will draw figures, and faces and hands and feet, and make energetic drawings.
It’ll be so much fun!

Get away in the German Eifel! We’ll spend three days together, with everything revolving around drawing. In this masterclass I will offer you ideas, tips and tricks that you will enjoy for years to come. Every day we get to work on assignments, but we’ll also build a fire, walk and eat well. For those interested, there is a sauna and a wood-fired hot tub available. You’ll be going home all charged up, and full of creative energy, with a sketchbook filled with drawings and new ideas. You can be part of this adventure!

In de Duitse Eifel ben je even helemaal weg, en draait alles om tekenen. In deze masterclass reik ik je ideeën, tips en trucs aan waar je nog jarenlang lang plezier van zult hebben. Dagelijks gaan we aan de slag met opdrachten, maar we gaan ook fikkie stoken, wandelen, lekker eten en voor wie wil is er een sauna en een houtgestookte hot tub beschikbaar. Voor zowel creatieven die regelmatig tekenen en wel een tekenboost kunnen gebruiken als voor mensen die vroeger tekenden en dat dolgraag weer willen. Geen zakelijke trip of gezinsvakantie, maar drie dagen voor jou en jou alleen. Tekenen staat centraal, dat zal je niet verbazen, en er is tijd om dit keer het prachtige Parijs te ontdekken!
Wat
Jezelf uit je omgeving halen en landen in een andere wereld zorgt voor een verschuiving in je zijn en zintuigen. Bonjour Paris! Hallo zonnige terrasjes op de stoep en koffie tussen de Fransozen, picknick in het stadspark en wandelen langs het Canal Saint Martin (en de Seine als je wilt). Door tekenopdrachten kijk je anders naar je omgeving en beleef je Paris eens op een manier die je niet eerder meemaakte: als artist. En we zijn állemaal artists. Dus maak je geen zorgen. Dat alles in een veilige omgeving (Koosje en Sabine zijn naast illustratoren/artists beiden ervaren workshopdocenten) en met een groep mensen met wie je vast veel gemeen hebt.

What better way to document it all in your sketchbook, and doing it along with other artists like you? Together, we will explore this historic and charming city and take it all in. Then capture your experience of the place by urban sketching. We'll draw, draw, draw!

What
Discover Edinburgh, Scotland and its rich history and stunning architecture, including the iconic Edinburgh Castle. The city also offers a vibrant cultural scene, with museums, and a welcoming atmosphere that makes it a bucket list destination.
Brenda, who is our host and organizer of the trip, will bring us to the most beautiful spots in Edinburgh. I will teach 5 art classes (1 each day) on amazing locations.
We'll visit museums and sites together, Even if you think you can’t, I’ll teach you fun techniques and exercises, that will help you to capture things/[places/views that might seem overwhelming at first.
We’ll explore line, color, shape and composition, and we all do it on location, drawing our surroundings.
You will see unique architecture, historical sites, visit museums and the Edinburgh Castle, taste the food, feel the city’s vibe, draw, draw, draw, and draw some more.
During this trip, you’ll learn from me, but also from your fellow travelers -it’s truly inspiring.
By the end of it your sketchbook is filled with memories, and you can go home energized and inspired.
