Hi there, I’m Koosje!

pronounced "Kōsha”

I’m an artist and creative entrepreneur living in the Netherlands. I love drawing and I do it every day. On this website, I hope to inspire you to develop a drawing habit too, because it can make you feel good.

Stop Making Excuses

Stop Making Excuses

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!

Do you ever find yourself overwhelmed, as if time is slipping through your fingers? With many of tasks and perhaps more than one priority, you're rushing from one thing to the next, with the result that you don't spend even a moment with your sketchbook.

Ugh, and there's nothing to draw anyway
Your thoughts spiral and it's frustrating.

Prioritizing drawing is important. You need your drawing time, to stay sane.
While this video may be partly sped-up, all you truly need are a few brief minutes with your sketchbook and your favorite pen. I guarantee that after this exercise, you'll feel a sense of calm and you'll feel better. Let's do this together, right now.

Drawing Bingo

Currently, I am traveling for a series of workshops in September, October, and early November. Meanwhile, I want to get you going on your art habit - and keep you going!
That's why I created a Drawing Bingo card just for you.
You can get it through this link.

How does it work?
Print the bingo card and check off as many prompts on it as you can, aiming to complete one every day. I'll be here each week to offer that extra motivation to keep you going. Let's do this!

If you've checked off all prompts, then: congratulations! Go ahead and comment below with BINGO!

Materials used in today's video:

  • Hahnemühle Nostalgie sketchbook, A6 size

  • Uniball Eye Rollerball pen, broad

  • Caran d'Ache Luminance colored pencil

The artist friend I mentioned is Marcus McAllister - follow him on Instagram, his art is amazing.

Your assignment today:

No more excuses, you can take time to do what you love! You have to. Even a measly 5 minutes can make all the difference.
Draw your hand in a continuous line. And if you can spare another moment, draw your other hand, again in continuos line. Now that you're at it, slap a bit of color on it. Then, see how you feel. Relaxed? Better than before? I think you will.

Have fun, and don't forget to mark it off on your Bingo Card (hint: it's the bonus square in the middle of the card).

If you're sharing your art that you made for Drawing Bingo on social media, then please use the hashtag #kksdrawingbingo, so I can see what you made.
