In the last week of February, I went to New York, for the production of the Sketchbook Skool kourse ‘People Drawing People’.
Danny and I have worked very hard to get this kourse together. That’s actually one of the reasons I haven’t been writing for my blog for quite a while now.
Building a course from scratch is exciting and every time, it’s quite a puzzle. Production wise, budget-wise, and creatively too. Finding the right people for our faculty. Figuring out the course material and the course structure. Wanting to fit in a lot of inspiration, information and many demos to show that there is no one way of drawing people.
The week of the actual filming of the kourse material is at the heart of this production. During the week of the shoot, I did my best to record some stuff to give you a peek behind the scenes!

Hi I'm Koosje. I'm an illustrator and art teacher in Amsterdam, where I was born and raised. I went to school to study graphic design, then worked for ten years as an award-winning professional photographer. But eventually my love of drawing and painting took over and I became an illustrator. My illustrations have been published in many Dutch magazines and in 2011, I began blogging and started developing and teaching online art classes. In 2014 I founded Sketchbook Skool, which is a flourishing community of artists from around the world of all skill levels. View all posts by Koosje Koene
