Feel Better By Taking 15 Minutes To Draw
When you think your calendar doesn’t allow any drawing time, THAT’s your cue to drop everything and draw. Because then you need it most.
A little bit of time for yourself, an active meditation. Getting out of your head and forgetting the to dos for just a moment. If you can, combine it with a walk and/or quick refreshing drink somewhere. You will almost feel like a different person, having sketched away the stress you were feeling - maybe not completely, but at least reduced it a bit.
Even 15 minutes, stepping out of that mindset and focusing on pen and paper, will make all the difference.
That’s exactly what I did to calm down my nerves with this drawing as a result.
I went for a walk and combined it with errands. Stopped at a cafe to drink a calming herbal tea and to just BE for a moment while drawing the buzz around me.
I highly recommend it.
(And let’s all be honest: you EASILY spend 15 minutes a day staring at your phone without real purpose. Swap that time out for some joyful creative time!)
