Drawing in Lisbon
Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
I was in Lisbon recently together with my friend Cynthia Morris, to design the workshop Capture the Lisbon Wow.
When traveling, you need to be flexible, and it’s the same for your sketchbook. No need to be scared, because it’s just paper. It’s an adventure!
When it comes to the creative process, there is no right or wrong. You can’t know on beforehand if the decisions you make will be the right ones. You’ll feel insecure at times, but excitement as well. You need to trust your intuition, be courageous but most of all playful.
While Cynthia and I were busy forming a fun, creative, and playful week in Lisbon, I also made a bit of time to film this Draw Tip Tuesday video.
Today’s video is longer than my usual Draw Tip Tuesday videos.
I will show you my full process of drawing the view from the apartment I rented when I was in Lisbon recently. I’m using funky colors, seeing patterns, and adding texture by using various materials. You’ll hear me talk through the decisions I make, you’ll hear me fight my inner critic, and you’ll see the drawing grow.
Capture The Lisbon Wow will take place April 18-23 2024.
During the small-group workshop, together we will be exploring. We’ll explore the city, creativity, new ways to learn. We’ll walk the streets, enjoy the colors and grit, art all around, the kind people.
This is for people who love discovering a place through walking and sketching. Six days, countless creative prompts, endless inspiration, laughs and a sketchbook full of WOW.
Tickets are limited, and the workshop is filling up quickly. So if you want to join us to Capture The Lisbon Wow, go here .
