It’s that time of year again: the holiday season. And I hope you’ll have a great holiday with your friends and family – wherever you are and however you celebrate (if at all!)
The letter ‘H’.
This week I worked on just one single letter.
I used Platinum carbon ink, FW gold acrylic ink, and watercolors.
And this is a quick ‘making of’ video.
Why did I work on that ‘H’?
It’s for a special holiday message from the Sketchbook Skool Fakulty.
I am warning you, the song (written by Danny‘s wife JJ Gregory, arranged and performed by Prashant Miranda) is kind of an ear worm – It’s been playing over and over in my head for days now – but hey it could be worse, because it’s a very happy song, with a very welcome message.
The art was made all over the world by:
• Lapin – France
• Felix Scheinberger – Germany
• Jean-Christophe Defline – France
• France Belleville – France
• Miguel Herranz – Spain
• Ohn Mar Win – England
• Jason Das – USA
• Nina Johansson – Sweden
• Miriam Bos – Netherlands
• Salli Swindell – USA
• Danny Gregory – USA
• Roz Stendahl – USA
• Stefan Bucher – USA
• Koosje Koene -Netherlands
Concept and lyrics by JJ Gregory.
Performed by Prashant Miranda.
Enjoy, and feel free to share!
Hi I'm Koosje. I'm an illustrator and art teacher in Amsterdam, where I was born and raised. I went to school to study graphic design, then worked for ten years as an award-winning professional photographer. But eventually my love of drawing and painting took over and I became an illustrator. My illustrations have been published in many Dutch magazines and in 2011, I began blogging and started developing and teaching online art classes. In 2014 I founded Sketchbook Skool, which is a flourishing community of artists from around the world of all skill levels. View all posts by Koosje Koene
