Sometimes I kind of neglect this blog. (And here I am, even featuring art that isn’t even mine, but made by amazing illustrator Miriam Bos).
I digitize most of my sketchbook pages regularly, but I just don’t always take the time to share them all here and say something smart about them.
Here’s one of the reasons:
I have been spending the past months working on a brand new Sketchbook Skool Kourse: “The Whimsical Sketchbook”
For this 5-week online Kourse, we filmed artists in the US: Atlanta, Nashville and Charlotte, South Carolina. And in Europe too: Amsterdam and Apeldoorn, the Netherlands, to be precise.
I’m very excited about this kourse, because the teachers in it are some of my favorites and have been on my wishlist for Sketchbook Skool’s Fakulty for a long time. And in this kourse, they will show you an enormous amount of art supplies and techniques, They’ll talk about illustrating books, how to create characters, and new ways to keep an illustrated journal. And much, much more!
The artists are Rebecca Green, Vanessa Brantley Newton, Miriam Bos, Mike Lowery and Anna Denise Floor. The Kourse starts June 18 and costs $99 for 5 weeks, and after that you’ll have unlimited access to all kourse material. I can’t wait! Are you joining?
See you in klass!
Hi I'm Koosje. I'm an illustrator and art teacher in Amsterdam, where I was born and raised. I went to school to study graphic design, then worked for ten years as an award-winning professional photographer. But eventually my love of drawing and painting took over and I became an illustrator. My illustrations have been published in many Dutch magazines and in 2011, I began blogging and started developing and teaching online art classes. In 2014 I founded Sketchbook Skool, which is a flourishing community of artists from around the world of all skill levels. View all posts by Koosje Koene
