How To Draw People On The Move

Posted by Koosje Koene in ArtJournal, Draw Tip, Draw Tip Tuesday, sketchbook on April 16, 2019

Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!

Whether you’re a beginner or more advanced, when drawing people, there’s one thing that’s always big challenge: people are moving all the time! The big question is: how do you capture movement?

Well there are many ways to approach this problem, and there is not just one right way. A full chapter in the ‘People Drawing People’ Kourse at Sketchbook Skool, is dedicated to drawing people in motion. You’ll learn from 7 artists in this Kourse, not just from little old me trying to explain here in a few minutes. Really, you don’t want to miss this Kourse, because it will change the way you draw forever! Before you hit play on the video below, make sure to join: click here.

Koosje Koene

Hi I'm Koosje. I'm an illustrator and art teacher in Amsterdam, where I was born and raised. I went to school to study graphic design, then worked for ten years as an award-winning professional photographer. But eventually my love of drawing and painting took over and I became an illustrator. My illustrations have been published in many Dutch magazines and in 2011, I began blogging and started developing and teaching online art classes. In 2014 I founded Sketchbook Skool, which is a flourishing community of artists from around the world of all skill levels.
