Welcome to Draw Tip Tuesday!
We’re halfway through January, and that means that perhaps you start struggling to keep up with any creative goals you set for yourself.
I want you to know that that’s OK. Life gets in the way, sometimes urgent or important matters need your attention, and that could eat up your creative time. It happens. Just make sure that when it happens, you DO take time to draw the next day, or even next week.
And today, take 10 minutes. I am sure you can find that time. And draw something. Anything. Even if it’s just a quick doodle. It’s not about the result, it’s about the act of drawing.
Grab any kind of art tool that you feel like, and start drawing what’s in front of you. It could be a bunch of stuff on your desk, it could be your thumb or your toe… it doesn’t matter. Just draw. And have fun!

Hi I'm Koosje. I'm an illustrator and art teacher in Amsterdam, where I was born and raised. I went to school to study graphic design, then worked for ten years as an award-winning professional photographer. But eventually my love of drawing and painting took over and I became an illustrator. My illustrations have been published in many Dutch magazines and in 2011, I began blogging and started developing and teaching online art classes. In 2014 I founded Sketchbook Skool, which is a flourishing community of artists from around the world of all skill levels. View all posts by Koosje Koene
