A peek behind the scenes

Posted by Koosje Koene in ArtJournal, sketchbook on June 5, 2019

The past month, I have been working my butt off to produce the new Sketchbook Skool kourse: Colored Pencils!

I am proud to announce this kourse, which starts on June 17, and will be a total game changer for how you use your colored pencils.

Often, colored pencils are seen as kinds tools, but they are expressive, flexible and very versatile as a medium. If you know how to use them! And that’s why I invited three amazing expert artists into my studio:
Andrea Joseph
Katya Tikhova
Swasky

Together, we made 37 (!) demos. I picked their brains in interviews. Of course you’ll get to see sketchbook tours, to get inspired by their colorful work. And there will be plenty of homework for you to explore the colorful worls of colored pencils.

During the shoot and post production, I had barely time to breathe, but I did get the chance to make this little peek behind the scenes video for you!

The Kourse costs $99 (and there is a payment plan available!) and starts June 17.

Hi I'm Koosje. I'm an illustrator and art teacher in Amsterdam, where I was born and raised. I went to school to study graphic design, then worked for ten years as an award-winning professional photographer. But eventually my love of drawing and painting took over and I became an illustrator. My illustrations have been published in many Dutch magazines and in 2011, I began blogging and started developing and teaching online art classes. In 2014 I founded Sketchbook Skool, which is a flourishing community of artists from around the world of all skill levels.
